Hobsons Choice Barn Dance Band provide great foot stomping fun entertainment for Weddings, Parties, Community Events, Birthdays, Anniversaries & More…
We are based in Somerset in the South West of England and we also cover parts of Devon, Dorset, & Wiltshire.

What we Provide
- Our music is a mixture of great fiddle led traditional folk dance tunes with a contemporary folk feel, including English, Irish, Scottish, Welsh, American and European repertoire. We can even throw in some songs!
- Barn Dancing is Fun Entertainment for all ages and abilities and I mean everyone, from toddlers to older gentle folks!
- Our caller, Sarah provides easy to follow instructions ….“You don’t need to know how to dance…at All!”
- We have over 25 years experience Barn Dances and provide a professional service in all aspects; from your initial enquiry to the event itself – “You are in Safe Hands”
- We provide great value for money
We have a Cracking Good and consistent Line Up of Musicians

- Accordion & Flute (Not at the same time!)
- Accordion
- Bouzouki
- Bass Guitar & Caller (At the same time!)
- Plus our Drummer – It is great fun to include drums, depending on your requirements and size of venue
Flexibility
- Are you wondering about your first dance for your wedding? We have some good solo or group options we can recommend for you
- If you have some favourite dances, just let us know
- Would you like some tunes while people arrive and socialise, then no problem; and if you want some songs, part of the band perform in the folk trio Arquebus
- Would you like some background music for your wedding reception? – We can also offer Thalia Classical Violin & Guitar Duo
